Interesting article by Stephen Hayes in the Weekly Standard. I would have never considered John Thune, giant killer from the great state of South Dakota as a contender for the Republican nomination for President. If you remember, Thune ran against Tom Daschle and won his Senate seat. The names most associated with the Republican nomination being thrown around are Palin, Pawlenty, Christie and Pence, as well as DeMint and Paul.
Perhaps it’s time to get some Midwestern values into the White House and get this country going back in the right direction.
