The Other McCain is keeping on top of the WeinerGate story. With his nose for news and impeccable sources, he’s keeping us abreast of the situation. ( Interject some Rule 5 to spice things up a bit.)
I’m still trying to figure out who this scandal benefits the most, the Dems because we’re all focused on Congressman Weiner’s faux paux instead of the more important issues, or the GOP because they see an opportunity to gain another seat in the House of Representatives in the next election.
Short of Weiner getting caught at a murder scene with a smoking gun in his hand, I don’t think his seat is in jeopardy because Liberals have a different mindset when it comes to sex scandals – It just rolls off them like water off a duck’s back. Look at all the other Democrats who’ve kept their elective office after sex scandals broke the news.
But Republicans on the other hand, will throw another GOP member under the bus quicker than spit, if they’re caught in any kind of impropriety, not that that’s a bad thing, mind you.
