Localized Tyranny

Have you ever noticed that when you try to have a reasonable conversation about gun control, someone always spouts off that it's ridiculous to think American government is or would become tyrannical and, even if it did, a handful of people would have no chance against the US Army? Practically speaking, that's true. The semi-autos that civilians have access to, even the "assault style" ones, are not the same as the fully-automatic weapons our military carries into combat.

  1. Hmmm….I never thought that much about gun control because I’ve never had the desire to own one myself. But I certainly understand that there are many who do, and want to keep it that way. That’s ok by me….actually a story is going around that Obama has a new litmus test for his military officers. He asks if they would be willing to shoot Americans if ordered to by their superior (including the Prez.) and if they say no….they are gone. Maybe I should get a gun afterall. sheesh. What country this again?
