Red Hot Mess In Egypt, Food Riots Coming to A Town Near You

I don’t really know what else I can say about the crisis in Egypt that hasn’t already been said, just that it’s a “red hot mess” and if reports are to be believed, the current administration had a lot to do with it. As was noted in this article, inflation had a significant part in the riots because of rising food costs. Can this be correlated with the expanded use of  World grain supplies in the production of fuel additives like Ethanol? Another take on the effect of inflation can be found here. Commodities are skyrocketing in price.
