Teen Arrested After Tweet Threat On #Zimmerman Verdict

Here’s my name and here’s where I go to school…dumbass!

A teenager who goes to Zion Benton High School in Chicago, Illinois has found out that you can’t make threats on the internet without repercussions:

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after authorities say he tweeted out a threat to commit a “mass homicide” if George Zimmerman is found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin, according to the Lake County News-Sun.

The since-deleted tweet, which came from @mark12394995, read “If Zimmmerman free imma shoot everybody in Zion [Illinois] causing a mass homicide, and ill get away wit it just like Zimmerman.”

The teen, whose name was not released, was charged with disorderly conduct, although deputies told the News-Sun that there was no credibility to the threat.

About 20 tweets have been posted to the account since Friday, most of which are in response to other users who are demanding an explanation for his actions. Some of @mark12394995’s most recent tweets read “but I would never kill ppl” and “well i didnt know ppl would report me.”
