The Elites Don’t Trust The Masses. The Masses Must Be Controllled For Their Own Good.

Thomas Jefferson had faith that the American electorate would be very diligent in protecting their freedoms from an over-reaching federal government. Ben Franklin, on the other hand, had his doubts.

The title of today’s post is made up of two sentences. Those two sentences could be a complete paragraph, couldn’t they? Please look at the word “Their” in the second sentence and think about whether it refers to the noun”Masses” in the same sentence or to the noun “Elites” in the first sentence.

In 1979, Barry Goldwater warned us about the Elites in his memoirs, With No Apologies. He wrote at length about the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR), the Institute of Pacific Relations (a subsidiary of the CFR), and the Trilateral Commission.
