Our good friend, Jeff Goldstein of Protein Wisdom was viciously attacked today on twitter by other supposed conservatives. I don’t know what it was about and frankly, I don’t care.
Jeff Goldstein has been on the front lines of our battle against the progressive left for a long time. I’d venture to say that a lot of people on twitter were just a twinkle in their Daddy’s eye when Jeff started waging war against the left.
Asking a question of a supposed fellow conservative is, according to a legion of sycophantic supposed fellow conservatives (just read through my Twitter feed today), akin to “harassment.” To “attack.” To “slapping” someone who has suffered from battered wife syndrome.
And noting that asking a question doesn’t equate at all to any of those things means, according to supposed fellow cons, you hate women, have a micro-penis, are a “fucking faggot” and a “cunt.” Supposed fellow conservatives w/ substantial Twitter followings will chime in to tell you you are “cray cray,” that you are “hostile,” that you are a pathetic psycho in need of meds, that you are a stalker of someone who, before today, you’d never even heard of. You need a good raping. Or a you should kill yourself.
Then, after a spell, these same supposed cons will group together – in a touching bit of ostentatious soul searching — and bemoan conservative on conservative violence. “Hey, you hostile psycho fucking faggot cunt with the micro penis who is off his meds and who should kill himself, or at least be raped, for being so ‘cray cray’,” they’ll cry, “Can’t we all just get along?”

People need to get a clue. Conservatives continually shoot each other in the foot all the time. Liberals will circle the wagons to protect their own.
Jeff’s so discouraged by this latest bunch of B.S., that he’s considering bowing out. That would be a great loss to the conservative cause.

Im not aligned with either party, but I have been talking about the conservatives eating themselves and subdividing their party by attacking anyone that doesn’t seem aligned with them 100 percent.
A lot of Conservatives have forgotten the words of Reagan and being an ally even if you don’t agree 100 percent.
Conservatives continually shoot each other in the foot all the time. Liberals will circle the wagons to protect their own.
Forgive me, but that’s not QUITE accurate. The TwitterSpat in question wasn’t about Jeff taking a position and then they all came and clobbered him for heresy. It was even more petty than that.
The favorited twitpic that started it all is no longer available. Jeff said that “The pic was from some Marxist who took a selfie of his own arm flexing in the mirror. It said something to the effect of “this is what proteinwisdom thinks he looks like. He doesn’t.” Then a few people began to pile on about a genuine trifle
The left actually does excommunicate their own quite often: ask Patton Oswalt or Jon Lovitz or any other Lefty who tweets something outside the orthodoxy and then finds themselves Never Working In That Town Again.
The swarm of gnats that went after Jeff was microcephalic: annoying and insignificant. But the antibodies in the Left-wing corpus are relentless, unforgiving, and deadly.
Okay I just read the timeline… there’s fifteen minutes of my life I’ll never get back. Like I said, I don’t care what the kerfuffle was about. It was stupid. Jeff G was curious and asked a question. The person he asked the question of, obviously got up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday morning and took offense.
I know the left does pile on if one of their own steps off the reservation. But some conservatives seem to have a “holier than thou” attitude and will excommunicate other conservatives for the slightest misstep.
